Psychedelic Preparation and Integration

Due to an ever-increasing interest in psychedelics, more people are being introduced to plant medicines and other entheogens. The profound transformative experiences with plant medicine do not end with the ceremony or journey; that’s actually where the real work begins.

Sometimes, people undergoing altered states are not able to receive the support they need from their community to make sense of the experience. Psychedelic integration and preparation can often feel lonely. Without the right guidance and care, trauma imprints that arise in the plant medicine experience may remain “stuck” in the body and mind, leaving an individual feeling confused, unstable and re-traumatized. Integration with a trained and experienced third person can help to resolve lingering issues after an experience with mind-altering substances as well help carry the learning over into one’s life.

I offer a holistic somatic trauma-informed approach to integration, preparation, and harm minimisation for people who have used psychedelics.

“Everyone deserves the right to compassionate care, support, and adequate preparation and integration support in their plant medicine and psychedelic journey.” Atira Tan

We acknowledge that the use of psychedelics continues in our society despite a long history of criminalisation. Beautiful Conversations neither encourages nor condemns the use of psychoactive substances. We provide education and harm minimisation interventions to those who make their own choice to partake.
